Ties That Bind

MFA Graduation Solo Exhibition, ECUAD, Vancouver, BC, Canada 2020

Marking the passage of time with the creation of wall assemblages using accumulations of available studio material inform this work. Time, duration and distance shifted in unexpected ways forced by the lockdowns of the pandemic. The ‘spaces BETWEEN assemblage grew outward in an undulating, reaching line as I thought about family and friends in different parts of the world. The “Neighborhood Map” grew thicker as I layered more material on top of each other as I spent more and more time learning about the place where I was now living.
